[Pkg-kde-extras] digikam 0.8.2 rc1 and bug Digikam deletes EXIFs when auto-rotating on import

Hi,
at http://www.mpe.mpg.de/~ach/tmp you'll find the sources of
digikam 0.8.2 rc1 (and a dapper deb).  When nothing goes wrong
I'll upload and announce the tarball Wednesday night.

My ugly problem is that when _I_ build the pkgs on kubuntu/dapper
I still can reproduce the bug: Digikam deletes EXIFs when auto-rotating
on import

This was also reported for debian on ml.

Would be nice if someone could test that it at least fixed in debian.

To reproduce, build a debian pkg of 0.8.2 rc2
(source at http://www.mpe.mpg.de/~ach/tmp)

	o Download the 3 example images from http://www.mpe.mpg.de/~ach/tmp/fake-camera
	  into an empty dir.
	o start digikam and add a new camera of type 'Mounted camera' and set
	  the path in the lower right of the dialog to the directory with the 3 images
	o open the camera download dialog for the just created 'fake' camera.
          (make sure that 'Automaticly rotate/flip using camera-provided information
           (EXIF)' is selected in 'Advanced >>' of the download dialog
	o download the 3 images
	o check in the album view if the tooltip of the image thumbnails or EXIF tab
	  of the properties dialog, if the images still list EXIF data

Here the downloaded images contain no EXIF infos anymore :(

On the other hand when I run configure;make;make install in a
svn checkout of digikam all is fine.  Gilles, upstream developer,
can't reproduce the bug too (on Mandriva).

Testing and tips what might go wrong are very very welcome.
