[Pkg-kde-extras] kde-extras Extending buildserver.net (debian/ ubuntu buildd environment)

Hi Team,

One of the other teams I work with on alioth (pkg-voip-maintainers) has a 
buildd environment setup to take the archive from svn.debian.org and build 
for Debian SID, ETCH and SARGE (i386, amd64, powerpc and s390) as well as 
Ubuntu DAPPER and BREEZY (i386, amd64 and powerpc).

I see this as a great step forward on working with debian/ ubuntu from the 
same set of debian/ sources. It also improves the quality of packages, by 
making explicit the changes required for building in all environments.

After discussion with the buildserver.net guy, thanks Kilian, he has setup a 
similar buildd environment for kde-extras...  My commit yesterday provided 
the necessary get-orig-source target (somewhat a quick hack as well)..  and 
there is still some tweaking which needs to be done to get the archive 
building smoothly... As well as necessary cross/ back porting requirements...

Anyway have a look at http://status.buildserver.net/ and see the status of our 
old friends as they progress through, and have a look at the pkg-voip svn 
archive to see how we can setup branches, forks as necessary for the various 
dists we can now support. http://svn.debian.org/wsvn/pkg-voip

I have also asked Kilian to provide buildd results and commits through to the 
pkg-kde-extras lists.

One important thing is the use of UNRELEASED in debian/changelog for the work 
in progress.  The buildd will go back to the last released version to do it's 
magic..  Also have a look at the achive of pkg-voip-maintainers for some 
other examples/ discussion:
