actually, ktorrent had many problems with >4GB files in the past (2.0.3 is 
pretty old). If I recall correct, those problems were not solved until 2.2 so 
even if you apply the patch there is no guarantee it will work or not break 
something. What's more, ktorrent needs to be compiled with --enable-largefile 
to ensure proper support for largefiles on 32bit systems. Neither of these 
changes are acceptable for Debian stable update + add relatively minor margin 
of the bug itself.
