Digikam is intalled in a laptop hp530 Victoria. The desktop is gnome, kde in
not installed, only libraries and kde programs as k3b and digikam.
All the directory digikam uses are set to drwxrwxrwx (Pictures and Temporal)
all the photos inside are set to -rwxrwxrwx and the owner and group is the
user.
When you try to use the "move to trash" option it says Can't change name of
the file xxx.jpg.
But it allows to change the name, to move to another directory (another
album).
In this laptop konqueror is not installed, but you can move to trash using
the ephifany browser. Or the shell.
Launching digikam as root doesn't work.
I thought that the diffence should be that the trash folders in gnome were
different that in kde. I mkdir .Thrash-0 ~/.local/trash ... etc
I copied the files from a desktop I use with kde.
The laptop is installed with the lastest stable version of Debian, the

 cat /proc/version
Linux version 2.6.18-5-686 (Debian
2.6.18.dfsg.1-13etch1) (dannf at debian.org

(gcc version
4.1.2 20061115 (prerelease) (Debian 4.1.1-21)) #1 SMP

I hope this info will be more accurate. Thanks

Carlos
