Evening Sir,

I am pleased to give you my solution, for Debian LENNY and SQUEEZE.
First update your distribution, Then in apt source file, add this source
: deb http://ftp.fr.debian.org/debian/ sid main contrib non-free,
comment all others lines about "Lenny" or "Squeeze". Launch synaptic and
update the source. Then load the last "linux-image" (kernel) number
2.6.30-1-xxx according your processor. Change your grub "menu.list" to
boot this kernel. Plug your AverMedia CardBus model E506. Make sur
/dev/dvb is created :

 lune:~# ls /dev/dvb
adapter0

lune:~# dmesg | grep dvb
[   22.247690] dvb_init() allocating 1 frontend

Now you can launch Kaffeine and DVB-T menu is présent.

You will find attached with this note the liste for TNT TV (channel.dvb)
for france BORDEAUX-BOULIAC.

I am not a specialist but just an old man Debian User and tester. It
remain some minor bugs, tuner light r emain off, scan the channels not
work very good in auto mode. This is probably not du to kaffeine but the
"media" module of the kernel.

Best regards

Jean Pierre Hoareau
