OMG i found it ...<br><br>Debian-40-etch-32-LAMP:/etc# ldapsearch -x -D "cn=manager,cn=internal,dc=contentprint,dc=com" -w credativ<br><br>was working ok so it had to be in the saslauthd.conf file<br>and indeed it was
<br><br>ldap_bind_pw: credativ<br><br>had a trailing space on that line, remove it and testsaslauthd gave a succes.<br><br>so its worth it to let people check for trailing spaces in the config file!<br><br><br><br>bruno<br>
