<p>Just a note for anyone else having this problem.</p>

<p>The reason the server in question required port forwarding for Seive from the WAN IP address was because of a typo in the /etc/hostname file.  Fixing that type so that the master Kolab server listed in the Settings tab of the webadmin resolves to the localhost removes the need for the port forwarding.</p>

<p>That was the default case with the other servers that I am running.</p>
