[Pkg-libburnia-devel] Consistent version naming.

Dear all,

in passing I noted, when reading the package overview of page
of a participating Debian maintainer, that the 'watch' column
displayed for 'libisoburn' contains a suggestion to download
the most recent source.

This is caused by the fact that our 'debian/watch' file
implements name mangling, thus tripping off suffixes of
the form '\.pl\d{2}'. Since this is not reflected in naming
our released packaging, the discrepancy is bound to happen.
A corresponding message follows suite on

   $ uscan --report-status

We should attempt to fix this at the next release. I recall
a thread at the upstream mailing list mentioning these patch
levels, but the discussion seems to have ended inconclusively.

We on our part could push packages based on upstream patching
on top on 1.0.8 into 'experimental' -- using composite names
like 'libisoburn_1.0.8pl??-#' -- while still keeping the official
package 'libisoburn_1.0.8-#' in 'unstable'.

Best regards,
  Mats
