Oh, I didn't knew it was possible to do that using virsh :-) Thanks
for pointing me it out.

Using virsh, I can "virsh start" this machine fine. But it won't show
up as "shutoff" when using "virsh list" (virsh says that there's no
--all or -all switch) after a shutdown.

When shutdown, using "init 0" from inside the guest itself, "virsh
list" will show only the dom0 running and no additional guest at all are
listed.

   Ok, fine.

Regarding the /etc/xen/<vm_name> creation, is this now the default
behaviour ? I mean, previously these files were being created.

At least in both Etch's Xen and CentOS's Xen these files are created
and every single documentation about Xen found on Google (even on Xen's
own documentation) gives advice on using the "xm" subcommands to manage
virtual machines.

When no /etc/xen/<vm_name> files are created, there's no way one
could use these subcommands so I think Debian would be completely
different from every other Xen installations in that aspect.

Regards,
