As said I am no Debian maintainer at all (although I am interested to
get involved as said, hence I fixed those bugs recently), so my
suggestions may not be entirely correct:

I guess you are a sponsored maintainer, therefore you have to ask an
official Debian maintainer to upload your package to the FTP master on
your behalf, as you have no write access. Therefore I added Krzysztof
(and perhaps other maintainers in pkg-lighttpd-maintainers) to CC to
take care of.

I don't know how you and Krzysztof handle this procedure usually, but
chances are, http://mentors.debian.net will simplify life for both of
you to manage packages updates.
