How do you properly build LLVM-2.5 on Debian4-5?

LLVM 2.5 seems to be frequently mis-compile on Debian4-5 platforms.
E.g.,on Debian4, gcc-4.1.2 (the default complier) mis-compiles it.
I tried 4.2.4, 4.3.2, neither work.

So, I am reverting back to 4.0.4, ...

Just curious.
How do you build LLVM-2.5 on debian?

P.S.
When would the llvm packages be released for Debian?
