I realize that this description was a bit short.  Here is a more
complete one.  This one-liner explain what need to be done:

  echo 'EARLY_PACKAGES="x-window-system-core ltsp-client discover1 mdetect xresprobe udhcpc udev devfsd esound ldm"' > /etc/ltsp/ltsp-build-client.conf

It will override the variable which need to be replaced until
xdebconfigurator is installable in unstable.  After tomorrow, when a
new version of xdebconfigurator make it to the mirrors, this fix
should not be needed.
