the support is there, but the related software (unionfs, squashfs)
hasn't been stable long enough for it to keep working for in debian.

in lts.conf:

 LDM_AUTOLOGIN=True

and optionally:

 LDM_USERNAME=FOO
 LDM_PASSWORD=BAR
