Bug#568838: inactive LVMs on boot bug?

Is there any reason why the patch hasn't been applied? The bug has been
open for two years now.

The squeeze release of lvm2 hasn't been touched since January 2011:

But the maintainer (CC'd) has updated the wheezy package about two weeks ago:

They're obviously active and keeping on top of some things, but this
particular bug appears to have dropped off the radar or is being actively
ignored.
