[Pkg-lxde-maintainers] Bug#594787: lxde-common: energy saving is not necessarily related to session protection

Package: lxde-common
Version: 0.5.0-4
Severity: normal

hallo,
lxde-common has some unwanted behavior on suspend and hibernation via
the dialog. It triggers "xscreensaver -lock" on suspend/hibernate.

on lxde suspend screensaver-command -watch logs:
UNBLANK Sat Aug 28 16:21:28 2010
LOCK Sat Aug 28 16:21:48 2010
RUN 151
UNBLANK Sat Aug 28 16:32:45 2010

Locking the screen is not related to energy saving, I have no need to
protect the session, even worse it is just a double waste of time
(suspends slower + unnecessary password typing). Some switch like in
xfce could satisfy different needs. Lxde could alternatively
respect .xscreensaver LOCK settings or provide an own configuration
option.

Regards
Eric Schumann
