Ok now you can call me insane. I've done a lot of compile runs throughout the
day while learning some other stuff.

I made a small table to keep track of the different configure flags I used:

I don't know where exactly the included versions of boost and gettext differ
from the external once provided in the Debian archive but it seems to have
a huge impact on the resulting lyx binary.

I guess I'll now go on and collect a strace and backtrace from the segfault
and pester lyx-devel with it.
