That's weird. I did however notice, after generating the de_DE.UTF-8 locale and
setting LC_ALL=de_DE.UTF-8 that LyX complained about not finding the de_DE
locale (the non-UTF-8 one). Perhaps that is a clue.

OK. I've also uploaded rc2 to experimental now, same options as rc1. Maybe you
can try that one as well.

I hope we'll be able to upload lyx 1.5 to unstable soon, so we get a wider
testing base.
