Bug#491731: madwifi-source: New HAL could fix this?

Hi,

I'm aware of the proposal to remove madwifi (here:)

but it seems the recently published HAL fixes the  "stuck beacon" issue 
reported in this bug.

So, I would very much appreciate a 'final' (?) update.
