tag 235215 woody
retitle 235215 qmail-to-mailman.py overwritten on upgrade
thanks

Hello,

this bug only applies to woody and I'm discussing possible solutions
with Martin Schulze aka joey (stable RM) in private email (in german)
and probably in person next friday at our local LUG meeting.

Essentially I see 3 options:

- qmail being non-free, simply downgrade this bug to wishlist and
tag it wontfix -> no changes to woody needed.

- Move qmail-to-mailman.py to /usr/share/doc/mailman/examples/ with an
appropriate notice in README.QMAIL or README.Debian. Qmail users
will have to install qmail-to-mailman.py in a place of their own
choice that won't be touched by further upgrades.

- Modify qmail-to-mailman.py to read configuration data from a yet to
be defined new conffile. Without ucf this requires some thought
considering an upgrade path to sarge.

Frankly speaking, I favor the 1st option, YMMV.

Comments welcome
. Siggy
