mate-desktop and libmatewnck have now been removed from NEW.

I ask everyone not to proceed with further uploads of MATE packages
until we have resolved the issues with mate-common and libmatekbd
in unstable.

My current plan is to ask the FTP Masters to remove mate-common,
libmatekbd and mate-doc-utils from unstable. This will probably
fall onto some resistance from the side of the FTP Masters but
I will hope I will be able to push it through as one of my friends
is on the FTP Team and he will probably be able to use support us.

The reasoning about removing the packages instead of using epochs
or manipulated version numbers using the "really" scheme is that
both these versions would make things just difficult and confusing
and could lead users to have conflicts when using additional external
MATE repositories.

I will give it a shot and try to resolve the mess.

Again, please NO uploads for the time being!

Adrian
