yes, let's not repeat history too quickly :)

Or maybe contemplate the suggestion in [1] (based on the discussion of the
issue, which you thankfully opened for upstream): add "db_stop" in order to
prevent the file descriptor leakage in the beginning.
(but I am just guessing here, this is not really my field)
