Thank you for your bug report.
Sorry, but I don't understand the link between connection closed and
empty files.
Some questions to help us:
1 - Can you provide more informations about your bug?
2 - Can you give us steps to reproduce it?
3 - Can you reproduce it on another ftp server?
4 - Can you reproduce it with last version 2:4.6.2-2 ? (in Sid for the moment)
