Works for me on Hardy / 188.8.131.52 in tty both for screen and raw sessions.
I can't check on Lucid / Maverick yet, but since it works perfectly on
Hardy I already suspect it has nothing to do with mc per se.
** Changed in: mc (Ubuntu)

All combinations Shift+F1 to Shift+F8 don't work on mc in console (tty) mode, on konsole (gui) mode works normally
You received this bug notification because you are a member of Debian MC
Packaging Group, which is subscribed to mc in ubuntu.
Status in “mc” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete
Binary package hint: mc
I have use Kubuntu with KDE GUI. In konsole when I load mc - combination Shift+F6 work normally - renames file.
But if I go to tty (ctrl+alt+F1) and starts mc in command line mode, Shift+F6 removes the file!
I try to launch mc learn keys and detect that all my presses Shift+F1-F8 mc detects as F13-F20 keys!
How I can solve this issue?
