Note: one *must* do step 1, otherwise mc notices the change and asks
whether to delete 'vital' (which is also dangerous when not reading
carefully)

But I can confirm

** Changed in: mc (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Incomplete

** Changed in: mc (Ubuntu)

Title:
  MC deletes the wrong file

Status in “mc” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  My Ubuntu version: 11.10
  Midnight Commander version: 3:4.7.0.9-2

  1, Switch off delete confirmation. (Not important, but more dramatic.)

  2, Go to a directory with two files: "junk" and "vital".

  3, Outside MC, delete "junk".

  4, In MC, press F8 on "junk".

  5, Oops, you've deleted "vital".
