Hello all,

I just subscribed to the list and joined the pkg-mc project on
alioth.debian.org.
I am going to try and help out with the mc package. Andreas Tille accepted me
as his pupil and will guide me into realm of Debian packaging and related
tasks :)

In order to get mc version 4.8.1 accepted in Debian, all reports needs to be
checked, as describe in the mail above.

The status of the upgrade so far, has been posted earlier to this list, in the
form of a debdiff.
Note that a (bazaar) branch of my work so far could be found at:
https://code.launchpad.net/~veger/ubuntu/precise/mc/fix-for-905610

Lets make sure we get mc updated to its newest version!
Greetings,
  Maarten
