Hello Again :)
/etc/init.d/mdadm-raid shows somewhat strange names for non-'standard'
array-names...
I tried to rename one of my raid arrays to /dev/md/backups, this works
quite well, just the mdadm-raid output looks a little bit confusing :)
Here is what mdadm -A --scan shows:
md: md127 stopped.
md: bind<hdc9>
md: bind<hda9>
raid1: raid set md127 active with 2 out of 2 mirrors
mdadm: /dev/md/backups has been started with 2 drives.
And here is what /etc/init.d/mdadm-raid start shows:
md: md127 stopped.
md: bind<hdc9>
md: bind<hda9>
raid1: raid set md127 active with 2 out of 2 mirrors
Assembling MD array mdbackups...done (started [2/2]).
Generating udev events for MD arrays...done.
It would probably make sense just to show the whole device name instead
of shortening it.
regards
Mario
