[Pkg-mediawiki-devel] Mediawiki 1.6.5 + extentions packaging

Hi all,
I'm new to this group, but I'd like to contribute to mediawiki for
debian, since at work we are in the process to start using wiki as
documentation repository.

I've seen MediaWiki 1.6 is stuck in experimental yet, and only updated
to .2 subversion, but 1.6.5 is available; so, I'd like help packaging
that version: would someone (Duck?) like mentoring me in doing this?
Don't know who much effort is this upgrade more than from just update
upstream code (I'm going to check the 1.6.2 code asap).

Another question is about extentions: is there some guide-lines in
packaging them? Some example or so?
