Of course, as FusionForge developer (modulo some factors) I cannot
speak neutrally on this.

But then, apt-get install fusionforge-{minimal,plugin-mediawiki}
provides an OOTB working multisite setup. With a proper database,
even. Granted, there is some overhead in running a whole forge
instance for it, but there is the benefit of already having the
whole management infrastructure (including permissions setup),
and dogfooding (I'm using it, and Debian has got Alioth, too).

bye,

“mysql is about as much database as ms access” – “MSSQL at least descends
from a database” “it's a rebranded SyBase” “MySQL however was born from a
flatfile and went downhill from there” – “at least jetDB doesn’t claim to
be a database”	‣‣‣ Please, http://deb.li/mysql and MariaDB, finally die!
