[Pkg-mlmmj-devel] Bug#617241: mlmmj: Improvements to README.Debian for Postfix

Package: mlmmj
Version: 1.2.17-1
Severity: minor

Two suggested improvements:

1. Since recipient_delimiter = + is set by default in
/etc/postfix/main.cf, change the text

    Add:

      recipient_delimiter = +

    to /etc/postfix/main.cf

to:

Make sure that `recipient_delimiter' is set to `+'; run

      dpkg-reconfigure -plow postfix

    if in doubt.

(Two nice things here: 1. Use the Debian configuration interface; 2.
Avoid the user blindly adding a setting to a configuration file, and
possibly overriding or duplicating an existing setting without
realising.)

2. Unless there is some reason not to use the -a option to
mlmmj-make-ml, don't mention the alternative. Also, note that
mlmmj-make-ml does not have a .sh suffix. Hence, change the text:

Then use the /etc/aliases file for the mailing lists as described by
the /usr/bin/mlmmj-make-ml.sh script (or use the -a option). For example
    one would add:

    mlmmj-test: "|/usr/bin/mlmmj-recieve -L /var/spool/mlmmj/mlmmj-test/"

    Then run "/usr/bin/newaliases"

To:

Create mailing lists using the -a option to mlmmj-make-ml, then
    (as instructed) run "/usr/bin/newaliases"

Don't worry about the cron job, there's already one in place for all
    the lists in /etc/cron.d/mlmmj.

Further suggestion: since there is already a cron job in place, remove
the suggestion to add it, e.g. by commenting out the following lines
in /usr/bin/mlmmj-make-ml:

echo
echo "If you're not starting mlmmj-maintd in daemon mode,"
echo "don't forget to add this to your crontab:"
echo "$CRONENTRY"
