I have trouble getting mod_mono to work by using the latest packages from Sid. When i access the http://localhost/samples i get Internal Server Error from Apache (version 1.3.33). Nothing appears in Apache error.log. The Apache loads mod_mono fine and it also starts the mod-mono-server (i see two processes with ps). Anyway, for debugging i tried to run the mod-mono-server.exe manually -- then i got the following error on the console, when accessing aspx samples via Apache (see the last line of the "screenshot"): juhan@curie:/etc/apache$ sudo su www-data -c "/usr/bin/mono /usr/share/dotnet/bin/mod-mono-server.exe --filename /tmp/.mod_mono_server --appconfigdir /etc/mono-server --root /tmp --verbose" mod-mono-server Adding applications from *.webapp files in directory '/etc/mono-server' Adding applications from config file '/etc/mono-server/debian.webapp' Registering application: Host: localhost Port: any Virtual path: /samples Physical path: /usr/share/asp.net-demos/asp Registering application: Host: localhost Port: any Virtual path: /monodoc Physical path: /usr/share/dotnet/monodoc/web Listening on: /tmp/.mod_mono_server Root directory: /tmp Hit Return to stop the server. The error went away and samples started to work, when i installed the latest libapache-mod-mono (not yet in Sid) from the following archives. deb http://debian.pablo.com.mx ./ Seems like the version of the mod_mono and the version of the other mono packages does not match at the moment in unstable, which caused my troubles. Anyway, thanks guys for the packaging effort. Investigating a bit about this, I saw the MonoDebianPlan in Debian Wiki, which seems to imply that some preliminar work must be done. I would like to know how that is going, or if it is stalled.
