Hi All

I believe you maintain the Ubuntu mono packages, according to the mono website.

Could you please advise why /usr/lib/mono/gac/mono-service/2.0.0.0__0738eb9f132ed756/mono-service.exe is part of the libmono2.0-cil package and not the mono-2.0-service package?

See here: http://packages.ubuntu.com/lucid/all/libmono2.0-cil/filelist and here: http://packages.ubuntu.com/lucid/mono-2.0-service.

I am creating a deb package and would prefer to only have mono-2.0-service as its dependency. The absence of the above file causes the following error when trying to run the service with --debug:

Unhandled Exception: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load
 file or assembly 'mono-service, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral,
 PublicKeyToken=0738eb9f132ed756' or one of its dependencies. The
 system cannot find the file specified. File name: 'mono-service,
 Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=0738eb9f132ed756'

Regards Gavin.
