in general the auto-updating nature of feeds looks very convenient for users,
so I'd say it would be nice to have both. i.e. extensions in the package and a
configuration option (in the package? possibly disabled by default) to update
the extensions via specific feeds [1], what do you think?

regarding the specific case of my git repo, I'm not using ubiquity/iceweasel
anymore these days so I'd be more than happy if you'd include them in the
package.

[1] rationale being that running ubiquity with debian commands doesn't imply
running debian or any derivative so it'd be a shame to have extensions
available only in the debian package itself.
