Hi there.

Ah, thanks.

Indeed. I may just put it there for the sake of copy'n'paste for other
extensions and packages of mine.

I tested that and the gains were justified, as abe also confirmed on his side.

Indeed, but when I packaged it, the archives didn't accept xz yet. Now
that they do, I can update that.

That's provided by a tool called wrap-and-sort. I call that with
`wrap-and-sort -s -v -a` inside the root directory of the package
(*not* inside the debian dir).

Among other things, it facilitates the diff'ability, as, say, a
one-character change of a long list of build-dependencies will
generate smaller diffs (measured in bytes). Better yet, the diffs
generated are more human-readable.

Did your "found interesting" mean that you didn't like this or that
you were not familiar with it?

I can let them know about that.

Yes, I can include rules for those, but I will have to see if there
are no problems with those. Do we use any self-signed certificates?
The upstream maintainers disable those rules by default.

Do you mean a Debian.NEWS or a regular, upstream-provided news? I
guess you meant the latter, but there's little we can do about that, I
guess.

You can change the address of your page on the Debian wiki to use
https instead of plain http.
