I don't understand how you generate your diff.gz and tar.gz files but
that is not the way it is supposed to be.

You should have a .orig.tar.gz file and a diff.gz file. These can be
generated by dpkg-source -b or when building with dpkg-buildpackage,
just be sure a iceape_1.0.5.orig.tar.gz file is there when you do it.

BTW, why is the diff significantly bigger than the one for seamonkey ?
and why a version number regression ? (not that it's a problem, just
curiosity)
