bug 299697 - fixed in xulrunner for real?

Hi,

in bug 299697 [1] its claimed that xulrunner has a fix (probably
patching Times et al to use sans et al .... however, there are other
claims in that bug that they that its still not fixed if website
explicitly set the font.

So what is the state of this? And if its not yet completely fixed:
what should mozilla do to really fix that (as joss claims that the bus
is in mozilla).
