Bug#541658: iceweasel doesn't open research.microsoft.com

Because this bugreport is justifiably closed (I really think this has
nothing to do with Iceweasel) and I don't know yet what causes the
bug, I decided to go on researching it on my blog:

This posting is just a note for everyone having the same problems and
stumbling upon this bugreport, so they know where to look for further
information.
Of course also anyone not affected is invited to look into the
description and give some hints (in the blog's comments or write me an
email) on how I could proceed finding the real cause of these problems
:-)
