Bug#652566: iceweasel: sends ssl/https requests one byte per ssl chunk - poor performance

Dear Maintainer,
I found the current Iceweasel not working with webcit (which i'm 
maintainer of)
so I set breakpoints, and found out it sends the ssl chunks like this 
(each line one ssl package)

since this triggered an old bug in webcit, i can say for shure that this 
behaviour wasn't there in previous iceweasel versions.
I couldn't reproduce this with similar firefox versions on windows.
I fixed the incident within citadel-webcit 8.03, but the resulting 
performance is rather poor, since usually up to 16k should go into one SSL
package. The result brings a working webcit, which is realy slow.
you probably also can see this in wireshark by the number of tcp packets 
sent back & forth for one request.
try requesting https://uncensored.citadel.org to reproduce.
I've used amd64 + ia32 iceweasel on different kernel versions with the 
same errors.
