places.sqlite is 10MB, even without bookmarks

Hello

i am using unofficial builds from mozilla.debian.net.
Since icedove 5 i recognized that there now is a 10MB big places.sqlite in the
profile. Even though i haven`t saved any bookmarks in icedove. The size is the
same with iceweasels places.sqlite.

After 'compacting' them with sqlbrowser they return to >1MB (the size i would
have expected). After compacting is done and ice{dove,wesel} gets used again the
size again returns to 10MB.

This is a concern with regards to backups and profiles beeing stored over
network (e.g. nfs).
