Various Problems with Iceweasel 11

Hello,

I have been having several issues with Iceweasel 11. They also occur with
Iceweasel 12 and I have tried clearing my .mozilla folder and starting in
safe mode.

The most severe problem is that when I close Iceweasel the window will
close but the process firefox-bin will continue to run and it will use 100%
CPU (only on one core though). If I try to reopen Iceweasel it will say it
is already running and I am forced to kill the process.

The other problem I am having is that textboxes, dropdown menus and
checkboxes look wrong. It may be that Iceweasel is using my KDE theme or
something, but they look gray and are overly large. In addition, any text
that is typed in a textbox is not visible if I have my cursor in it. This
only occurs for web pages, the URL bar, search bar and menu for Iceweasel
are all fine.

I am using Debian Squeeze and installed Iceweasel from the
squeeze-backports. I am using nvidia proprietary drivers if that matters at
all.
