you reported this bug quite a while ago and things around logging have
changed a bit since 0.15.12-1.1; MPD should terminate cleanly after
displaying a (changed) error message.

Could you confirm, preferably with a current version of MPD (e.g. from
backports if you're running stable), that this works for you too?
Otherwise, could you provide a backtrace?
