The following packages have to be installed from Debian that vlc/0.8.6.e-2.3 is working: ffmpeg libavcodec51 libavdevice52 libavformat52 libavutil49 libpostproc51 libswscale Packages like acroread, flash, k9copy, mythtv, mplayer, mencoder or libdvdcss will not be removed. Regards Markus Huber
