I have absolutely no clue about nyquist. What do you mean by "have it 
linked". AFAICT it is more a collection of LISP scripts than a shared 
library, isn't it?

The latest upstream release is 3.02 of Jan 12 2009.

However, why not take over the package under the pkg-multimedia banner...
