yes, of course. I read through the configure script and figured out 
that both yasm and nasm are supported by xvidcore and that - if both 
are found - yasm is preferred over nasm. Also from the configure 
script I found out that the minimum required versions were 0.8 for 
yasm and 2.0 for nasm, so I adjusted the B-D.

BTW, i didn't know that sbuild checks for a package's existence first 
and then for its version - which would indeed fail in this case. I 
know that yasm 0.8 isn't in Debian yet but only in an external 
repository, but I wanted to make sure that the preferred asm compiler 
is chosen as soon as yasm 0.8 enters the Debian archive. I am sorry 
for the inconvenience and will correct my mistake.

For the time being it's perfectly alright to just B-D on nasm for all 
supported arches and keep in mind to change the B-D to also point to 
yasm 0.8 as soon as it has entered Debian.
