mencoder in mplayer package

Dear team,

IIUIC, in the latest mplayer package upload (currently in NEW) we do
not remove the mencoder.c file anymore (WTF, we did this in the
past?!) but still no not build the binary. Why? I mean, what is so
"dangerous" about an encoder software, if all the patent encumbered
codecs that it could possibly encode to were disabled in the
underlying library? Mencoder built against our libav* is just as
"dangerous" as our ffmpeg, gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg or vlc packages. Not?

Please enlighten me,
Fabian
