It looks pretty good, I didn't of the possibility of using
/etc/security/limits.d instead of modifying limits.conf directly.

Adrian, now that you are member of the pkg-multimedia Alioth group you
should have write access to the jack-audio-connection-kit git
repository. Would you mind going ahead and push your changes? I can
review them and upload the new version.
