I assume you mean with WNPP the wiki page
DebianMultimedia/DevelopPackaging.

Well, that page is not totally obsolete. E.g. it documents (or at least
should) document that and how we are using git, what should be in the
maintainer field and such. But I agree that trimming out anything not
related to "packaging policy" makes sense to me.
