Hi,

I've already done a brief introduction on the IRC channel, but I understand
a more formal e-mail hello to the debian-multimedia team is required.  I'm
Eric Hedekar, one of the newer Ubuntu Studio developers and general linux
audio enthusiast.  I've yet to seriously contribute to Debian in any way,
but from what I've learned, the best way to upload to Ubuntu is actually
through Debian so I'm hoping to get into that habit as I continue to package
more multimedia applications.

Due to my lack of Debian uploads, I'll instead talk about my Ubuntu uploads
and contributions.  Here's my launchpad.net profile:

Essentially I've packaged a few applications that have been accepted into
Ubuntu repositories and am getting a firm grasp on how to update and bugfix
packages.  One of the next projects I'm planning is to package a large
number of LV2 plugins and hosts and I'd like to do this in Debian with time
to spare to import them into Ubuntu for Lucid's release (April 2010).  I'd
like to get calf-plugins, a2jmidid, and xjadeo (packages I've uploaded to
Ubuntu) into Debian and maintain them accordingly.  I'm also in the process
of updating (and becoming the maintainer for) muse.

Like I said, I'm really new to Debian development (though as a user I

misconceptions of protocol at anytime as I'm sure that's the main difference
between Ubuntu and Debian.  Thanks.
