The nagging has been efficient and it is backported in 1.0.2
Could you recheck once vlc 1.0.2-1 reach your mirror

IMO, it's tool early for experimental becasue it's not stable mainly
due to a lot of change in the video output core and modules.

A good compromise will be for me to fix the debian packages of
http://nightlies.videolan.org which are broken as i haven't look at
them in a long time
