jackd2 will remove many pkgs in sid

when trying to install xjadeo, in a sid system that had a dist-upgrade a
couple of weeks ago apt-get install reports ...

I then tried some of the upgrades one by one, but most would not install without 
removing the list above.

I then installed jackd1, then did the upgrades above, then apt-get says ...

jackd is already the newest version.
jackd set to manually installed.

after this xjadeo installs happily without removing anything, but clearly not 
with the default jackd2 installed but the alternative jackd1 instead.
