Self follow up, you've already told me what to do:

20:10 <uau> siretart: mp3 playback seems to be broken in the current
            package - did it somehow get built with gcc-4.6? (the
            internal mp3lib is known to miscompile with gcc-4.6, but not
            earlier versions)
20:11 <uau> the bug is in mp3lib, it's "fixed" in the current master
            branch by just dropping the internal mp3lib (now the
            preferred mp3 decoder is libmpg123 if available)

sorry,it's still to early for me, I'll see to update to current git
master ASAP.
